Donald Trump's racist remark about Elaine Chao, the wife of Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell

Trump used a racial slur in a post on his Truth Social website Friday, calling Chao McConnell's "China-loving wife, Coco Chow."

"I think every Republican should be saying this is outrageous and it's beyond the pale,"


Scott Jennings, former McConnell aide, said on CNN

I"I think it's important for everyone, not just public figures, to watch how they word things in order to be more inclusive," Scott stated on CNN Sunday morning.

Scott continued on to say that Trump has a "nickname" for everyone, on CBS Scott said, "I'm sure he has a nickname for me. Alright. So, you can ask him what he means by his nicknames."

Jennings said that Scott's comments about the issue were not satisfactory.
