After Putin's military mobilization, Russians are fleeing to Alaska by boat.

Two Russian nationals have landed on a remote Alaskan island in the Bering Sea and are seeking asylum in the United States.

This week, two men appeared at a beach near Gambell, a small town on the northwest tip of St. Lawrence Island. The island is about 40 miles from mainland Russia.
